I'll be honest, I had never actually heard this song before sitting down to learn it for this video today. When I'm in the car, my radio is usually tuned in to Alt Nation, and when I'm at home, I'm either listening to audiobooks or the next bluegrass tune my band is learning. So I don't really get much pop in my life unless I intentionally seek it out. However, upon listening to this Billie Eilish song and breaking it down, I ended up really enjoying the process. This song in particular definitely gives me those bluesy feels. I imagine hearing it in a sleezy, smoke-filled bar when the band tells the audience they're going to "slow things down". I dig it. Alas, though, learning and performing are not the only tasks needed to perform in order to put content out into the world. If only it were that simple! No, the post-production process is one that only the universe can determine how it will go, and today, the universe was not on my side. In other words, uploading was a pain in the ass. I will say though, this is one of those rare moments that you will see an instrumental backing track on a TTP
cover, and for this song in particular, I felt it necessary to capture the essence of this song. And boy, did it make a difference! Once I was finally able to sync everything up, I was actually pretty proud of how it turned out. But who am I to say? I'll let you be the judge. :)
